eduffield -- Non-MN owners still can NOT vote for a proposal, correct? I've just got a weird case. This wallet had a MN while we were testing v12... I got it synced and haven't tried to resolve the conflicted tx's (I guess these tx's will disappear once I've zapped and reindexed them)...So now this wallet does NOT have a masternode at all. But I just submitted a proposal and out of curiosity, i tried to vote for it and it was "voted successfully".. Is this a bug?

The proposal seems to get paid correctly (3.33333330).
While the amount is less than what being paid to masternode on normal block, it's appear that miners get the rest, is this correct as expected ?

I guess so... But I still don't know exactly:
1. What's the max payout on Testnet each cycle/month? (On mainnet it's around 8000 DASH)
2. How do we calculate to approve for the budgets for all proposals each month.
3. How does a proposer know how much payment to ask for his/her project each month.

thelazier here's Evan's post that might help give some light, i'm reading it:

I don't believe so, you probably have the masternodeprivkey in the configuration, which can activate it

I'm trying out the above problem from moli on a wallet that never was a masternode and was almost finished mixing. I'll let you know how it goes.

I have a question, which someone asked a while back as well, but I never saw an answer for the problem. On my linux laptop, my dash-qt and all the other programs are no longer executable via double click, I have to start them in a terminal. They have "allow executing file as program" checked and set to open with run software (Ubuntu BTW) but I can't double click them and they do not look like an executable file icon either. Has anyone figured out what happened there?

Ok, I wasn't able to vote on my non-mn wallet:

Please vote on my proposal. The Beer Tent will be large enough for everyone in Steinbergkirche to enjoy Octoberfest! I promise!

So I can't help but wonder, if I waited long enough, could I vote again? LOL

I have yet another question. I did notice the first time I attempted to prepare a proposal, I chose a block start that didn't land on an end of month block (I assume, for testnet, one that ends either in 00 or 50) So it looks like the superblocks are hard coded in, and I'll assume it's similar for mainnet. What I didn't try out, and would like to know, is do we have to wait at least a full month before we can start getting paid? So lets say we're on testnet block number 78355, can I set my payment to start 78400? Or do I need to wait until 78450 because it's not a full round between the superblocks.

I'd like to see the proposal system have to wait a full month, so that we can get full discussion and understanding of each project before it can slip through (or plenty of time for it to be voted down :) )

Ohhhh... You are correct.! I didn't know that could do it! But what if someone creates a bunch of these fake wallets like this and vote? Will that work on Mainnet?

moli, did you still have untouched 1000 coins in your wallet? masternodes start automatically now. If you have masternode=1 and untouched 1000 single input, you'll be a masternode, most likely. Sometimes, I've had to do a masternode start, but most of the time it's automatic. Yet, I'm going to try this, just doing a masternode=1 in that one wallet that doesn't have a single 1000 coins input to find out if that tricks the system.

Otherwise, well, it does seem that the masternode should be online properly, perhaps for the same amount of time that is required for payment. But wait, I just remembered, once the masternode goes off line, their vote disappears! So unless that changed, it should be good.... but I'm off to try this here to be sure :)

Common peoples! I wanna see an actual mnbudget payment once before we go live! Vote Yes on the beer tent!!!

A-HA! Moli was RIGHT! I was:
1. able to create a masternode private key without a single 1000 input (all accounts had smaller inputs)
2. able to set up in the config file, masternode=1 and my masternodeprivkey=PriveKey
3. I had no ip address set up, because it is in use by another machine!

And yet I got :

eduffield - Really cool... I just tested by submitting a proposal and then gave it 9 "No" votes.. It showed up in the mnbudget show for a few min and then disappeared.. So proposals with most "NO" votes would disappear within 24 hours on Mainnet?
